Jackson Wiebe is an Australian producer, songwriter, audio engineer, and multi- instrumentalist. He is also currently working as an engineer & producer at The Grove Studios.
Jackson’s work as a songwriter/producer has included collaborations with artists such as Ennaria, Wiska and Padma as well as his own music released as downplayer.
In his role at The Grove Studios, Jackson has worked as assistant engineer on sessions for artists including: DZ Deathrays, Dune Rats, King Stingray, The Amity Affliction, One Four, Birds of Tokyo and many more.
Here, he continues to work under Aria-award winning producer Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, DMA’S, Dune Rats, Birds of Tokyo, 360) and has had the opportunity to work under Grammy-award winning producer Adrian Bushby (U2, Foo Fighters, Muse, My Bloody Valentine, Spice Girls) and Aria-award winning producer Nathan Sheehy (DZ Deathrays, The Vanns, Dune Rats, Birds of Tokyo).
In 2023, Jackson lived in Los Angeles where he worked extensively under the mentorship of producer/songwriter Suzy Shinn (Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, Dua Lipa, Sia, Alicia Keys, Train).
Jackson studied Composition for Film at University, during which time he interned at the Grove Studios under Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, DMA’S, Dune Rats, Birds of Tokyo, 360), and Jackson Barclay (Vera Blue, Maddy Jane, Birds of Tokyo). It was here that Jackson had his first assistant engineering role on The Amity Affliction’s ‘Not Without My Ghosts’ LP under engineer Jack Nigro.
In 2023, Jackson lived in Los Angeles where he worked extensively under Suzy Shinn (Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, Dua Lipa, Sia, Alicia Keys, Train). This work included sessions with Lauren Mayberry (CHVRCHES), Anthony Rossomando, Sasami, Nate Campany, Iration, David Marinelli, Sam Hollander, K.Flay, Slowly Slowly, and many more.
During this time Jackson also engineered for FIDLAR, Ilsey Juber (Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé, Lil Nas X, Harry Styles), MARLENE (Pure Shores), JaeGreen (Justin Bieber, DaBaby, The Chainsmokers) and Rival Sons.
Jackson was selected by APRA AMCOS to undertake a Dolby Atmos Masterclass at Lemontree Studios in LA. The program - run by Ed Donnelly (Willie Nelson, Crowded House, Smashing Pumpkins) - equipped Jackson with the skills to work with Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio.
In 2024, Jackson began working as in-house engineer and producer at The Grove Studios on the NSW Central Coast. Here his engineering skills have been expanded through working with the studio’s 56-channel SSL-G console and extensive outboard gear.
He continues to work closely under studio-owner and Aria-award winning producer Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, DMA’S, Dune Rats, Birds of Tokyo, 360) and has had the opportunity to work under Grammy-award winning producer Adrian Bushby (U2, Foo Fighters, Muse, My Bloody Valentine, Spice Girls) and Aria-award winning producer Nathan Sheehy (DZ Deathrays, The Vanns, Dune Rats, Birds of Tokyo).
